Michael Phelps, The Early Years.

Well we are about to see a group of people, with very diverse backgrounds that don’t care much for America meet and compete. No, it’s not the Olympics, it’s the Democratic Convention.
This past weekend the nominee made his choice for V-P in Joe Biden.
It is a VERY smart choice of a VERY smart and articulate man.
I have huge doubts the McCain’s selection will be as good.
Speaking of the candidate, is it just me or is this the hottest crop of “political wives” we have ever seen?
I mean, lets face it…these guys “married up.”
Joe Biden’s wife.
I mean come on!!! These ladies are FAR more interesting to look at AND listen to than ANY of their husbands.
Here’s a cool site my neighbor Toni Barnette sent me, when you click on the link, a series of about 15 pictures will come up. Click on a photo in that category that appeals to you. Again 15 picture s will come up, click the one for you and move on. Just continue to keep picking. At the end it will give you a profile of yourself…. It’s called a visual DNA…. Your choices dictate your profile.
Mine said, for personality, I’m adventurous with a limitless imagination. Open minded & honest , music is all about joining in and self expression it’s always on my mind.
For fun, I’m an “Escape Artist”. I love to be outside and catching some rays plus fascinated by the world around me.
Habits, I’m a “New Wave Puritan”, I’m a little bit naughty, being good all the time is too boring. I care about myself and health and I have a expressive personality. I like my surroundings to be simple and comfortable.
Social, I’m a “Nostalgic.” It says the nothing beats good times with friends and I like freedom. I take any opportunity to push myself to the limit.
Check it out and take the test. Http://DNA.imagini. net/friends
Remember it’s visual and kinda cool.
As most of you know I just returned from a visit to Houston to see my 5 year old Daughter. But what many of you might not know is that it had been a year and a half since I’d seen her last. You see my x-wife and my daughter moved back to Houston during our break up and divorce. I knew having 1000 miles between me and Ky (which is short for Kyla my daughters name) was going to be tough on our relationship, but I didn’t know just how bad it was going to be (more…)
Man, what a great show, Lou Gramm and Boston! This was one of those shows that will be talked about for a while.
Thanks again to the gang from the Bi-Lo Center for helping us put on one hell of a great party, from the Boston Sea Party where listeners enjoyed a stellar low country boil with ALL the trimmings from the catering at the Bi-Lo Center in a suite, to the “Get Schooled” session for 10 lucky listeners with the drummer of Boston and school teacher Jeff Neal. Jeff is REALLY is a U.S. History at Bonny Eagle High School in Maine, and the band works around HIS schedule, how cool! Look for excerpts from that session soon at WROQ.COM
Brian Blades and I got up on stage and saw what you all looked like from the stage.
We couldn’t see too much but the Bud Light sign.
Lou starting out the nights with a strong 40 minute set and did not disappoint the crowd with his solo songs and Foreigner favorites. Then Boston took to the stage and ripped out 8 songs nonstop before even taking a breath.
All of the guys we talked to all had ONE common thing on their mind, the bass player and how HOT she was.

Her name is Kimberly Dahme and she played more than just the bass guitar.

Check out her web site at http://www.kdsongs.com
Thanks to ALL of you devoted ROCK 101 fans that said hello and just hung out and had a few beers with us. I have a blast meeting every one of you. Stay tuned for other killer shows to come!

Ever once in a while you see something that blows you away. for me the last thing was 2 weeks ago with the opening of the summer games in China.
Here is the latest submission to my “DAAAAMn!!!!” file. Enjoy.
Two things on my mind today, yea, I know, it’s a crowded place, it’s the return to school for the kids, and parents that have children in another state. It’s kind of funny, some of the kids are eager to get back, and others want a little more summer. I was ALWAYS the latter one.
It all came to the forefront of my mind today when Blades and I were talking about his visit with his lovely daughter in Texas, and how difficult it is for a father, or mother for that matter that are to be away from their children. Most parents, I shouldn’t say most, some parents take seeing their children and step (I say BONUS) children every day for granted. I’m guilty of this very same thing, I see my bonus daughter, Bailey every day, and I saw my blood Daughter Olyvia last year. When Brian and I were talking about when he left his daughter and saw her for the last time, all of the emotions of that day, for me when I left my daughter last year in Kansas City came rushing back, and it tore me up.
It made me think about how much I miss Olyvia, and how I have treated Bailey, I have taken her being in my life everyday for granted, and for that I’m am deeply sorry. So when you look at you children every day, do what I just did and look at yourself, then look at how you interact with your children and bonus children…
The first day of school is the first of many things for all of us to learn, and you know what, I just got home from school.
I need for you to sit down and brace yourself.
What I have to discuss today is not going to be easy, and in fact, I’m confident your will find it hard to believe.
The new show with Pam Anderson is terrible. I know, I am as shocked as your are.

Pam Anderson is a beautiful girl….that suffers from what so many attractive people do. The more she talks….the less attractive she gets. It’s a terrible curse.
I have tried watching her program, “Girl on the Loose” for two episodes. Hell, I even turned the volume off and I STILL can’t tolerate it. The camera work, the incessant special effects, the overall audio quality, it ALL sucks…..and NOT in the good way.
I’m sure you are as depressed by this latest television tragedy, but we will just have to work thru it.
Keep hope alive!!! LOL, sometimes I crack me up.
