Well spring has finally returned and it’s nice to crawl out of the cave and see the signs of life and feel the warmth of the sun again. But Now what do I do? I mean I’m as pale as a ghost I’ve put on another 10 pounds over the winter and I’ve got to wear shorts or melt. Tanning bed and salads for the next month I guess.
I’m hanging on by a sliver to my Hockey passion this spring. Usually my teams are locked up to be in the playoffs and favored to win it all, but this year has been tough. It took an incredible run and so huge upsets for my Michigan Wolverines to make the NCAA men’s hockey tournament. And they could easily go one and done on Saturday. And as of today the Detroit Redwings basically have to win all the rest of their games just to hang onto the 8th and final playoff spot in the NHL. That’s something I’m used to, but it does make it exciting down the stretch because every game is do or die.
I’m actually getting a little excited about baseball season starting too. It’s Bobby Cox last year as the Braves Manager and with some great young talent and decent pitching, this could be a fun year. And my Detroit Tigers look ready to make a good run again this year, and this time they will break the Twins fans hearts like they did to us last year, pay backs are a … well you know!
Again I want to thank all of you out there for helping me make it to 10 years at Rock 101. I couldn’t have done it without you all and I look forward to another 10! Greenville is a great place to live for many reasons but the main one is the people!
