4 Reasons to shut down New Jersey.

Posted in: Uncategorized

If you need further evidence that society is going downhill with the coaster brake disabled, this just might tip you over.

Earlier this morning I look up and see Matt Lauer doing a full blown, totally serious, with notes interview with….the cast of The Jersey Shore.

Now, fewer things are more obnoxious than the hair bags on Real Housewives of New Jersey, but event THEY take a back seat to the nutsacks of the Jersey Shore. Everyone has a nickname, an orange tan, and dumbass hair.  THIS is the future of America? We have poured more money into education than ever before and apparently these 4 were able to resist ALL of it.

Curious as to what is happening in the motorcycling community? Drop down to the next blog for the current line up.

Rocky Mountain “HIGH”

Posted in: Uncategorized

You know some of us get lucky enough in life to be able to have a job that also is our passion. The kind of job you can enjoy and make a good living at all at the same time. I am one of those people, I get to do something I always wanted to do and would do it for free but am damn glad I’m making a living do it !

Well I found another guy who seems to have found the same bablance in life, and then some, some would say. He’s a critic for a local newspaper in Colorado. And here’s where it gets even better, he get to critic one of his favorite pastimes and get paid to do it as often as he wantsor I guess I really should say as much as he NEEDS. See this young man samples and writes reviews on medical marijuana for the locla newspaper. He is the first of his kind in the country and you can bet he’s enjoying his work every single day. Now I do need to clarify things here and mention that this guy does suffer from chronic stomach pain and is legally allowed to used medical grade marijuana for treatment of this problem. So lets make it clear here that he is legal to use the stuff. But with so many MM shops open in the Denver area and throughout the state of Colorado and with all the different types of weed out on the market, it just seems to make sense that there was someone out there who could help these paitent/clients decide what type of weed is for them. It’s at this point in the blog where I can understand the 2 different reactions coming from you all out there, the opened minded/liberal, self styled enlightened thinkers out there saying “well this all sounds like a very good thing” while the more conservative oldschool/traditional thought would be “YA RIGHT! Who’s this guy fooling?” I think this whole issue is symbolic of just how far we’ve come as a country and yet how backwards we still seem to be at the gut level. I admit to be very skeptical when I first read this story, I mean I spent a great deal of my youth and adulthoodb  in the marijuana culture, I know what a stoner is and what they are all about lifestyle wise, and believe methey’d all be lining up for the kind of job this guy has. But thats what I mean about looking at marijuana through a outdated prizum. To me it’s clear that there are enough people in the medical community who believe in the benefiits of medical grade marijuana, so why can’t the whole country come to grips with the idea of making available for those people anywhere in the country who might get real medical help for there aliments? Why just Colorado and California? Can only those people feel better using it and if you use it in Indiana you dont’t feel it? What is it? Ithink it’s the fact that there still is so much misinformation or lingering “Reefer Madness” that permiates American society that we have been unable to move past the idea that there just might be something actually benefical from using marijuana at the medical level. I’m not going to sit here today and scream for the total legalization of pot, but I do think it’s time that the federal government and the National medical community come together and finally decide whether the citizens of the country as a whole could be benefiting from medical marijuana. I know we have to deal with the pharmacudical companies to, but if the decision is that it’s good, then of course they’ll get there big piec of the action. It’s just a question this story broguth to my head and please watch the attached story and tell me what you think.http://money.cnn.com/video/news/2010/07/28/n_pot_weed_marijuana_critic.cnnmoney/?hpt=C2

Remember back six months ago when Haiti had that terrible earthquake?  Total devastation across the country side.  The dust had barley settled when we had former President Bill Clinton asking for our financial help.

In the next few days he was everywhere, along with George W. Bush, reminding people that even though times are tough you needed to dig deep and help others.  He went on to explain that we all needed to cut back on our daily spending, and make the sacrifice to help those that need it more.

Now, flash forward to this week.  The setting is New York state, in a hamlet, about 90 minutes from the Big Apple.  This time Bill is pretty quite because he is about to spend $5 MILLION dollars to get his daughter married off.  That’s right… $5 MILLION bucks.

So…the next time slick willy jumps up on TV, biting his lower lip, pleading with YOU to sacrifice…..ask him how many could have been helped with a chunk of the $5 MILLION he spent on Chelsea.

I feel better now……lets check the Two Wheel Update….

A True Empty Suit.

Posted in: Uncategorized

The prestige of the office of the President continues to be lowered by the temporary occupant.

Later this week, the “President” will be appearing on the TV show “The View.”  He has somehow found time between golf games and vacation trips to squeeze in a visit to, of all places, The View.

Can you imagine the cat fight that will break out between Joy Behar, Whoopie Goldberg and Barbara Walters to be the first to disappear under the desk and pay “homage” to the “President.”

When was the decision made to turn the office of the most important person in the world into what it now has become.  He’s afraid to go n FOX News…but has time for The View. What a f#@king joke.

I Give Up ! I Surrender To The Heat.

Posted in: Uncategorized

The heat was so bad this weekend that I lost my mind and began doing things I would never normally do.

I was tolerant of geeks on bicycles riding on the side of the road.  The heat had affected my demeanor so much I decided not to harass them as I drove by….. and then there was the TV.

I had no energy….none.  So I sat in from to the tube, not even making an effort to see what was on all 160 channels.   At one point the “E” channel ran a special on rich girls gone bad.  They took an entire hour to detail the bad behavior of girls that were born to money and how they “acted out.”

From street fights, flashing, public drunkenness, driving DUI, etc all of these spoiled brats were portrayed as being a handful.

Now in my tortured state it occurred that a rich girl that gets a tattoo, gets drunk shows her boobs while throwing up on the side walk is called “rebellious.”  BUT, if you live in a mobile home, work at Wal-Mart, and do the same things, you are labeled “white trash.”

30 Years of Back In Black

Posted in: Uncategorized

It was 30 years ago today, AC/DC released their biggest selling album ever, Back In Black. It was their first album without lead singer Bon Scott, who had died a few months earlier after passing out and choking on his own vomit following a long night of drinking.
The group quickly decided to press on and hired Brian Johnson from the band Geordie to take over on vocals, and they headed to the Bahamas for about six weeks to do the album. AC/DC had made some serious headway in America before Scott’s death, but no one knew how Back In Black would be received. The album took off, and eventually sold over 21 million copies in the U.S.

Johnson told us that he didn’t have a clue how successful Back In Black would turn out to be: Brian_Johnson_on_lucky_with_Back_In_Black

In the Air….

Posted in: Uncategorized

So as I woke up and went out side the other morning, there was a familiar smell in the air, something in that morning breeze that made me want to lay out a bunch of food in the living room, pour myself a giant Diet Coke and get ready to gel in my favorite chair. That smell was FOOTBALL! Who’d ever thought we football fans would get so excited in JULY!!! But these days it seems football comes earlier and earlier every year. Especially the NFL. I think one major reason is television. Between NFL live on ESPN every weekday all winter and spring and of course the NFL network 24 hour football 365, well the season never really seems that far away. These outlet feed your craving through the off season so well that you just feel like it never really ends they just take a short break! And thats really another factor, the camps seem to come a day or two earlier each few years and when we get coverage of mini camps etc it seems the players are there all year round now just tuning up for the next season.  Predictions? I think it’s still a tad early for that but I guess I have one I can throw out. Terrell Oewns will not be in any teams training camp and will not get signed til some team finds themselves in a desperate situation either going into or at the beginning of the regular season. It’s to bad he never saw what he was doing all those years earlier but here he is with a chance to cement his place in pro football history and no team wants to bring him and his reputaion to poison there teams chemisrty. I guess even though the league keeps becoming more and more a stars game, it’s still not to far off the team comcept to realize that a player  with a attitude like Owens isn’t worth the trouble. Anyway lets get it going Blue ….18…set….
