Set for release is the latest edition of the Grateful Dead’s Road Trips vault series, which will spotlight the band’s April 5th and 6th, 1982 shows at the legendary Philadelphia Spectrum. The three-disc set, Road Trips Vol. 4 No. 4, will feature the entire April 6th Philly show — along with a handful of numbers from the previous night’s Spectrum gig. Dead.net posted that “the sound is pristine, and mastered to HDCD specs. A colorful booklet with an essay and photos is part of the deal, too.” Road Trips Vol. 4 No. 4: April 6, 1982 is available for pre-order and begins shipping on August 1st.

Guitarist Bob Weir told us that although he enjoys listening back to the old Dead tapes, it’s not something he’s able to do all that often: Bob_Weir_On_Listening_To_Old_Grateful_Dead_Tapes

AND, don’t forget FURTHUR FEATURING PHIL LESH & BOB WEIR July 29
