Meta
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds – and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of – wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I’ve topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

Mick Jagger is hinting that his new supergroup Super Heavy might take its show on the road.Gibson.com posted that “Miracle Worker” — the first single from the self-titled album — will hit radio this week, with the full album to follow in September. Super Heavy also includesEurythmics founder Dave Stewart, Joss Stone, composer A.R. Rahman, and reggae artistDamian Marley — the youngest son of the late Bob Marley. Jagger and Stewart shared production duties for the new set.
Jagger described the new group in a statement, saying, “(Its) a mad alchemist type experiment. We haven’t planned to do a tour or anything, but if people really like it maybe we will. We’d love to get out and play some of it live. As soon as we started playing together in the studio it gelled, and all these different styles didn’t seem to be a problem to make them fit together. . . I hope people will like it.”

FIREWORK SAFETY TIPS: Dr. John Steinberg with the National Council on Fireworks Safety says that the thousands of fireworks related injuries that happen each year are preventable with basic safety steps.
Here are tips from the National Council on Fireworks Safety:
- Parents and caretakers should always closely supervise teens if they are using fireworks.
- Parents should not allow young children to handle or use fireworks.
- Fireworks should only be used outdoors.
- Always have water ready if you are shooting fireworks.
- Know your fireworks. Read the caution label before igniting.
- Do not drink alcohol around fireworks.
- Wear safety glasses whenever using fireworks.
- Never relight a “dud” firework. Wait 20 minutes and then soak it in a bucket of water.
- Soak spent fireworks with water before placing them in an outdoor garbage can.
- Avoid using homemade fireworks or illegal explosives.
- Report illegal explosives, like M-80s and quarter sticks, to the fire or police department.

FOODS YOU NEED TO HAVE AT YOUR BBQ (Associated Content)
#1: Potato Salad: It wouldn’t be the 4th of July without potato salad. Potato salad is very popular at a 4th of July barbeque because it goes so well with grilled meats. Potato salad tastes good with steak, chicken, hot dogs, and even hamburgers. Just remember to keep it nice and cold or you’ll get salmonella.
#2: Fresh Lemonade: July is always hot and humid, that’s why lemonade is so popular at a 4th of July barbeque. Instead of adding ice to your lemonade, add frozen cubes of lemonade. This way, your lemonade will not become watered down.
#3: Pasta Salad: Another great side dish for your 4th of July barbeque is pasta salad. This dish is refreshing and not too heavy, which makes it perfect for a hot summer day. If you’re worried about keeping your pasta salad chilled, skip the mayonnaise and make a dressing using oil and vinegar. Then you won’t have to worry about keeping it cold.
#4: Watermelon: Watermelon is popular at 4th of July barbeques because people enjoy having contests to see who can eat the most watermelon in the shortest amount of time. But, watermelon can also be made into delicious desserts and drinks.
#5: Hot Dogs: What 4th of July barbeque would be complete without hot dogs? Hot dogs, fresh off the grill, are absolutely delicious. If you want to make your 4th of July barbeque a little more gourmet, try making homemade hot dog buns.
#6: Potato Chips: The perfect side dish for hot dogs and hamburgers is potato chips and not just any brand will do. The best potato chips for your 4th of July barbeque is Lay’s. Yes, they’re greasy and full fat, but hey it’s a holiday. Live a little.
#7: Red, White, and Blue Cake: You will of course need a patriotic dessert for your 4th of July barbeque so why not make a red, white, and blue cake? This dessert is so simple. It’s just cake, berries, and Cool Whip.
#8: Hamburgers: Well, of course, hamburgers must be served at your 4th of July barbeque. If you plan on cooking several other dishes, it may be best to just buy hamburger patties at the store. This way, you don’t have to take time to make them yourself and risk them falling apart on the grill.
#9: Baked Beans: Baked beans just scream summertime. This side dish is also a breeze to prepare. Simply open a can of Bush’s baked beans and heat them up. If you have a side burner on your grill, you can avoid heating up your entire home by heating them on the grill instead.
#10: BBQ Chicken: You must have barbecued chicken for your 4th of July barbeque. Just remember to put the barbeque sauce on when the chicken is almost done. If you put the sauce on too early, the sugars in the sauce will burn.
We are about to embark on a new chapter in the Stoneman household, I am bringing my Daughter Olyvia Rose home. This move has been a tough decision that hasn’t sat well for some people, but being a parent more often than not those kind of decisions are never popular. Being a long distance Father is a difficult one at best as some of you know. Some people will make up their own opinions on what THEY think is going on without finding the truth, or even asking. I never said I have been the perfect Father by any means, wanting to, and being able to do certain things is the hardest part.
Missing their first day of school every year, winning a soccer game, or watching their first track meet or comforting them when they have had a bad day. Thinking about your child every day, and wondering what they think of you, AND hoping that THEY know that your love for them has never wavered even though the distance apart has increased. With every move, you hope your children will be happy, meet new friends and keep all the of the old friends from that past, and to give them a hug when they are scared. Olyvia, this is the promise we make to you, welcome home.

Bon Jovi will never break up
Posted in: Uncategorized
Jon Bon Jovi insists that Bon Jovi will never break up. The group has been rocking since 1983 and Jon says that even though they are getting on in years — they will always stay together. Jon told Britain’s Seven Days magazine that they might have to scale back their touring.
He said, “This band is past the point of breaking up or anything silly like that. There’s such a mutual respect. We continue to make Number One records and fill stadiums. But will we still be doing 150 shows per tour? I just can’t see it. I don’t know how the hell Mick Jagger does it at 67. That would be the first question I’d ask him. He runs around the stage as much as I do yet he’s got almost 20 years on me.”

My Father, On Father’s Day
Posted in: Uncategorized
My Dad, Sydney is his name. A very proud and somewhat stubborn British gentleman that has always been there for me through my mistakes and pitfalls, triumphs and trepidation’s. A Father has always encouraged me to be my own person growing up, AND through my adult life. Sometimes waiting for me to fall when he knew i would, and being there either on the phone or in person when i needed a hand with standing back on my own two feet. My Dad, who inspired me for his strong work ethic, professionalism in business and his “grab the bull by the balls” perseverance that has made him a well respected leader, and highly sought after commodity in the business world.
My Dad, a man of many opinions, very dry humor and wit, and the love for my friends growing up that made our house, thee place to hang out! God forbid if your EVER refused a seat at the table for dinner! You wouldn’t be asked a second time..
Thank you Dad, and Mom for helping me grow into the person I am today. I only hope that I can live up to your standards to my Daughter Olyvia Rose and Bonus Daughter, Bailey Marie.
I love you Dad, thank you for being MY Dad.
Happy Father’s Day,
Julian
Next time you have an overnight in an airport, try this…. I would SO do this!

NEIL PEART AND STEWART COPELAND BONDED OVER HATRED OF DRUM SOLOS
Posted in: Uncategorized
Rush’s Neil Peart is considered one of the most innovative drummers on the planet — in spite of that, there’s nothing he hates more than drum solos. Peart talked to MusicRadar.com, and explained that he’s always leaned towards song-oriented drummers, recalling, “When I was growing up, I played along to the radio, so I played along to Simon & Garfunkel, the Beach Boys, the Association, and the Byrds, and I was really playing along to (studio drummer) Hal Blaine. He played on all of those records and so many more. There was another drummer who said that he was shattered to find out that his six favorite drummers were all Hal Blaine!”
Peart, who was one of the architects of the way drums were played and recorded in the late-’70s and ’80s, added that he’s not alone in his stance against cliched drum solos: “Stewart Copeland, who’s a good buddy of mine, he’s very anti-drum solo, too. Yet he jokes that when he was a kid, around the same era as I was, that any drummer who didn’t play drum solos was ‘lame.’ But it can be too much of a good thing, sure. Take John Bonham, who’s a drummer I greatly admire: I watch some of his performances, and they’re fantastic, but y’know, it gets long and self-indulgent.”
Peart, who in addition to drumming duties, writes all of Rush’s lyrics, told us that traveling the country on his bike and interacting with people off the beaten path has affected his work as both an author and a lyricist:
