First off all…last night was special as I got to attend the graduation cermonies of USC Upstate.
Now I have had a problem trying to describe some of the events regarding the rude people who yell things as the grads walked across the stage, the startling lack of skill in the brass quartet that performed…..the same 30 seconds of music…..for 20 minutes, finding notes that made dogs outside the building run for the hills, and then there was the speech given by Representative Bob Inglis. He will now and forever be known as “mumbles.”
I have chosen to ignore all those petty problems and instead focus on the positive.
I was witness to a fine young man walk the stage to accept his four year degree.
He represents all that is right with the “younger generation” that I all too often rail against.
Chuck, you made us all proud.
Now why is it I keep hearing the world is going to come to an end if one or more of the auto makers files for bamkruptcy?
EVERY major U.S. airline has gone thru the court system and yet kept flying. No, the earth won’t explode BUT the UAW may have to lower their average hourly rate from $75 an hour to something more normal.
You mean you didn’t know that the majority of those on the line make $156,000 per year? Yes Virginia its true.
Finally, and for no apparent reason we continue to hear from the Hillary Clinton camp. It seems that even though she has been nominated for Sec. of State, she is not pleased that CarolineKennedy wants her senate seat.
She thinks MS Kennedy is not qualified. Somehow Obama was perfect for his senate seat and now the oval office, but not Carolina Kennedy. And I thought I had big balls.
