Its no secret that I tend to lean more toward the “conservative” political side versus the liberal. As a result people ask who I want to see running for various offices…what the chances different folks might have to win office…etc

Lately I’ve seen very little from the conservative groups that give me hope or pride. Let me give you an example.

Then…..as an attempt to make you smile after that embarrassing political ad is Conan O’Brien. He spoke at the graduation ceremony of Dartmouth College.

Known to his fans as “The Big Man” for his towering 6-foot-5 frame and his mighty tenor sax riffs, Clemons was the rhythm and soul of the E Street Band and a fixture in Springsteen’s legendary live concerts and the signature sound of so many of the band’s songs.

The oldest member of the E Street Band had suffered several health ailments in recent years, including knee surgery that forced him to sometimes perform the band’s marathon concerts from a stool and even, occasionally, a wheelchair.

Clemons had played with Springsteen since 1972. His stage presence with Springsteen had been a central feature of their concerts; his saxophone a defining element on such mega hits as “Thunder Road,” “Badlands” and “Jungleland.”

Now that I have your attention, I’m sure by now you know Representative Anthony Weiner resigned from Congress Thursday. If you are a democrat…you should be ashamed of your party.

He was sold out for sending pics of himself in his underwear, by the VERY SAME people that supported Bill Clinton. You remember President Clinton….the man that painted Monica’s tonsils, lied about it to Congress, and had to give up his ability to practice law….for lying to congress. The same body that demanded Rep. Weiner step down.

Anthony Weiner did a series of stupid thngs. President Clinton did much of the same but some were also worse. yet the double standard of the decmocrats goes without notice.

 Damn.  With “friends” like that….who needs enemies?

Even with all his current “PR problems”….New York Representative Anthony Weiner rolled out his new car this week.

Sure its a cheap shot. But…hey…its what we do.

Everyone….and I do mean EVERYONE has piled on the scandal of Rep Anthony Weiner….and his well…you know.

It would be pointless for for me to attempt yet another hit on this topic. Yep…pointless and stupid.

So…lets get right to it.

Busy week for the old man….I say B U S Y !!!!!

Lunch today at Mojo’s/ I’ve heard a lot about this place so today we give their burgers a test drive.

Then tonight Rock101 welcomes Rush to the Bi-Lo center after a 30 year gap since the last visit. Since I’m on the air most nights I dont get to go to many concerts…..but tonight is special.

Then tomorrow its Rock101 Bike Night at the Zone Sport Grill in Mauldin.

Spartanburg has always been a city of music and the current generation of kids is no different.

Since Rush is in town Wednesday….I thought you might enjoy a “little” warmup.

Week three of the “Rock101 Bike Night series” continues to grow…despite a mean spirited Mother Nature.  What the hell is with it Thursday night and rain? LOL

Well this last event, while small in crowd the result is always the same when you put a bunch of riders together. Thaaats right we had a fine time.

If you haven’t had a chance to join us..we’ll be at the Zone Sports Grill on Butler Road in Mauldin again this Thursday evening.  As I like so say after the ceremonial removal of the boots and jeans……”hang out with us won’t you?”

I know I beat you to death with all the charity rides, fund raisers, etc BUT please pay attention to this one.

The fine folks at the Burton Center in Greenwood are holding their 3rd annual fundraiser….a poker run..and you need to help them.

Now….I love movies. I particularly like those with creative dialogue, colorful use of the English language, and the occasional, if not frequent gun shot, explosion, face punch…well you get the idea.
